Fântâna Episcopului Filaret / The Fountain of the Filaret Bishop / La fontaine de l'évêque Filaret / Der Brunnen des Bischofs Filaret

Episcopul Filaret, grec de origine, ucenic al Mitropolitului Partenie de Târnovo, a slujit în scaunul episcopal din Râmnic între anii 1780-1792. La 6 septembrie 1793 a fost ales Mitropolit al Ungro-Vlahiei, iar în 1793 s-a retras din scaun la Mănăstirea Căldărușani, unde, la un an mai târziu, a trecut la cele veșnice.

Ridicarea unei fântâni, mare binefacere pentru comunitate, era socotită o însemnată faptă de milostenie din partea ctitorului, făcută pentru sine și pentru pomenirea morților din neamul său.

Pe fântâna de piatră ctitorită de Episcopul Filaret se păstrează până astăzi decorul floral deosebit și inscripția originală votivă, scrisă cu litere chirilice. Astfel, de jur-împrejur stă scris:

„S-au ridicat această fântână de Preasfinţitul Episcop al Râmnicului Chiriu Chir Filaret. 1784 septemvrie 1”.

Apoi, într-un ancadrament central, stau scrise aceste versuri:

Cursul apei de fântână,         Şi până când apa curge,

Când va fi reace şi bună,      Pomenirea nu se stinge

Şi setea o potoleşte,              Şi tuturor le vesteşte,

Şi vederea înveseleşte.          Şi pe ctitor proslăveşte.

Fântâna Episcopului Filaret, dezafectată și deteriorată de trecerea anilor, a fost restaurată și racordată la apă potabilă de către ÎPS Varsanufie, Arhiepiscopul Râmnicului, în întâiul Său an de păstorire, lucrările fiind terminate în martie 2015, precum arată noua inscripție votivă de pe spatele fântânii.

       The Fountain of the Bishop Filaret, located in front of the Archbishop's Cathedral is certainly one of the most beautiful rock fountains of the 17th century.

      The Bishop Filaret, greek of origin, aprentice of the Metropolitan Partenie de Târnovo he served as the Bishop of Râmnic between the years 1780-1792, on the 6th September 1793 he was elected as a Metropolitan of the Hungarian Valahian, and in 1973 he renounced, and retreated at the Monastery from Căldărăușani, where a year later he passed away.

     Raising a fountain, as a great benefactory for the community it was considered a notable fountain of charity from part of the founder, made for himself and for the memorial of his ancestors.

On the rock fountain founded by the Bishop Filaret it is still kept today the particularly beautiful floral ornament and the original votive inscription written in Cyrillic letter. So all around the rock fountain it is written:

" It was raised this fountain by His Grace the Bishop of Râmnic Chiru Chir Filaret, 1784, September the 1st."

Then in a central border, there are written the verses:

" The course of the fountain water,

When it's going to be cold and good,

The thirst satisfies,

And makes happy the sight,

And until the water flows

The memorial doesn't end

And gives news to everyone,

And the reader glorifies.

The Fountain of the Bishop Filaret, disabled and deteriorated by the passing of time, was restored and connected to drinkable water by ÎPS Varsanufie, The Archbishop of Râmnic, in his first year of ruling, the work being finished in march 2015, as it is shown on the new votive inscription in the back of the fountain

La fontaine de l'évêque Filaret

La fontaine de l'évêque Filaret, située devant l'archevêché, est certainement l'une des plus belles fontaines en pierre du XVIIIe siècle.

L'évêque Filaret, grec d'origine, disciple du Métropolite Partenie de Târnovo a servi dans le siège épiscopal de Râmnic entre les années 1780-1792. Le 6 septembre 1793, il est élu métropolite de Hongrie-Valachie, et en 1793 il se retira du monde ecclésiastique au monastère de Căldărușani, où, un an plus tard, il passa aux éternels.

La construction d'une fontaine, un grand bénéfice pour la communauté, était considérée comme un acte de charité important de la part du fondateur, fait pour lui-même et pour commémorer les morts de sa famille.

Sur la fontaine en pierre fondée par l'évêque Filaret, la décoration florale particulière et l'inscription votive originale, écrite en lettres cyrilliques, sont conservées à ce jour. Ainsi, il est écrit tout autour:

Cette fontaine a été érigée par le Très Saint Evêque de Râmnicu Chiriu Chir Filaret. 1784 1er septembre.

Puis, dans un cadre central, ces versets sont écrits :

"Le cours d'eau de la fontaine,

Quand il sera froid et bon

Et la soif apaise

Et la vue réjouit

Et jusqu'à ce que l'eau coule,

La mémoire ne s'efface pas

Et on a dit à tout le monde,

Et glorifie le fondateur"

La fontaine de l'évêque Filaret, désaffectée et endommagée au fil des ans, a été restaurée et raccordée à l'eau potable par IPS Varsanufie  Râmnicu Vâlcea, dans sa première année de curé, les travaux étant achevés en mars 2015 et comme en témoigne la nouvelle inscription votive se trouve au dos de la fontaine.

Der Brunnen des Bischofs Filaret

Der Brunnen des Bischofs Filaret vor der Erzbischöflichen Kathedrale ist sicherlich einer der schönsten Steinbrunnen des 18. Jahrhunderts.

Bischof Filaret, ein gebürtiger Grieche, war ein Schüler von Metropolit Parthenius von Tarnowo und diente von 1780 bis 1792 als Bischof von Râmnic. Am 6. September 1793 wurde er zum Mitropoliten der Ungro-Walachei gewählt, und 1793 zog er sich in das Kloster Căldărușani zurück, wo er ein Jahr später verstarb.

Die Errichtung eines Brunnens, ein großer Gewinn für die Gemeinde, wurde als bedeutender Akt der Nächstenliebe seitens des Stifters angesehen, den er für sich selbst und für das Andenken an die Verstorbenen seiner Familie tat.

Auf dem von Bischof Filaret gestifteten Steinbrunnen sind noch heute der besondere Blumenschmuck und die ursprüngliche Votivinschrift in kyrillischen Buchstaben erhalten. So steht rundherum geschrieben:

„Dieser Brunnen wurde vom Hochwürdigen Bischof von Râmnic Chiriu Chir Filaret erbaut. 1784 September 1”.

In einem zentralen Rahmen stehen folgende Verse geschrieben:

So lange das Wasser fließt                              So lange dieses Wasser fließt,

Wenn es gut und kühl auch ist                        Das Andenken lebendig ist

Still es jeden Durst                                          Als ob es zu den Menschen spricht:

Bereitet auch dem Auge Lust.                        Vergesst auch seinen Stifter nicht.

Der Brunnen von Bischof Filaret, der im Laufe der Jahre verfallen und beschädigt worden war, wurde von Seiner Eminenz Varsanufie, Erzbischof von Râmnic, in seinem ersten Jahr als Seelsorger restauriert und an die Trinkwasserversorgung angeschlossen. Die Arbeiten wurden im März 2015 abgeschlossen, wie die neue Votivinschrift auf der Rückseite des Brunnens zeigt.
